From Art Gallery "Ilya Beshkov" we offer you to climb the stairs to the monument "Mother Bulgaria", erected on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria, to continue through the Scobelev Park, created in memory of the fallen Russian heroes in the battle on August 30, 1877, to reach the majestic Panorama Pleven Epopee 1877. The building was erected in 1977 on the battlefield itself in honour of the 100th anniversary of the Liberation of Pleven from the Ottoman yoke. The building is shaped like a truncated cone, worn by 4 stylized bayonets, embodying the power of the arms. The bayonets carry three horizontal rings, symbolizing the three stormings of Pleven and the fourth, symbolizing the siege of the town. The building has a total volume of 54000 cb.m. and has four halls:
- introduction with six oil paintings with a size of 4 x 3.6 m, which reflect moments of Bulgarian history,
- panoramic with a panoramic linen canvas with a size of 115 x 15 m, stitched only by one seam in a hall with diameter of 40 m, recreating the third storming of Pleven with a perspective of the image of 8-10 km,
- dioramic with a oil painting of size of 17 x 5 m, representing the last battle for Pleven in the valley of the Vit River,
- final with oil paintings measuring 4 x 3.6 m, which show the capitulation of Osman Pasha and the passage of the Russian army through the Balkan in winter.
In the rotunda of panorama there is a permanent exhibition with lithographs from the end of the XIX century. The building is home to artistic works of established Bulgarian, Russian and Romanian authors – sculptures, busts, graphics, icons.
