State Puppet Theater (DKT) – Vidin

We offer you to head to the eternal and young Belogradchik, famous for its majestic rocks and one of the most preserved fortresses in Bulgaria. The Panova House, a model of the Fore-Balkan Renaissance architecture, was built in 1810 and houses the Belogradchik Historical Museum. The exhibition of the museum presents the socio-economic development of the town and the region in the XVIII and XIX centuries, including agriculture and livestock production. An emphasis in the exhibition of the museum are crafts: hardware, wool fabric weaving, shoemaking, pottery, goat wool crafts, special attention is paid to the gold smithing that is characteristic of the region during these centuries. The museum has also housed elements of two religions – a collection of icons with examples of the Tryavna and Debar art schools and fragments of the wood-carved ceiling of the Haji Hussein Mosque. Many materials can be found in the exhibition, testifying to the people's struggles against Ottoman domination and others.
